To know it better...:)

It is always a great pleasure to express myself. And now, this post is some what special to me, as I’m here with your voices. Yes, here I’m making an attempt to put your queries together and will convey my words you. Hope you would like it.

I was asked so many questions by many of my readers during last week. I had answered in the comments page itself, but I want to keep some of them here again, just to make myself believe that you all have read it. It’s also a part of gaining pleasure by ensuring that what I write is being read.

Well, I will start the actual body of this post.

What’s the meaning of your name “Pramoda”?

“Pramoda” means “Happiness”. I’m not sure whether it is name effect or not, but I keep smiling most of the time, and I believe in smile more than any thing. After all, the whole credit goes to my parents :) …:)

Could you name some of your favorite Hollywood Actors? (The Two Tag…)

I would have said the names had I watched the Hollywood movies with passion. Somehow I don’t feel the connectivity between myself and the Hollywood movies. Now don’t get me wrong, I watch them, but not with passion or with deep interest. So, its too tough for me to remember their names either. So, I’m nil at this corner...:(...:(

After marriage, would you leave your job life?

Well, after marriage it is not ‘ME’, it is ‘WE’. So, I don’t like to say anything about it now, being ME.

Two persons having two different careers in two countries have decided to marry, whom do you think will sacrifice the "career"?

As far as I’m concerned, it can be either of them. It depends upon their characters, their life styles, their job demands, and their convenience. It is not always that a girl shall leave it, though it happens generally. I want to make one point clear here, these words or the related post were written by me, not out of feminism, but out of humanism. I’m not a feminist, I’m a Humanist.

And now, it’s the much awaited question I guess, even I’m eager to answer it.

Why do you wonder about Andrew Symonds?

:)…There is a solid reason behind it. Well, it is not a crush, any way. The main reason was that I had never experienced any sign of fear on this guy’s face. Be it the top controversial match, be it the spectators’ vulgar comments, be it the Cricket Australia’s strict warning, be it the match in which he comes as a fifth batsman and still there is so much to be done on the scoreboard, he plays his part. He lives what he is. He shows what he can do. The definite fear about him plays big role in many teams, being guests or hosts. After every thing, at the end of the day, he stays what he wants to be. That aggressiveness makes me wonder about him.

This is it. I hope I’m done with most of them. Please don’t mind to ask me, if I have missed out any thing here.

And now, let me ask you one thing.
“A Friend To All Is A Friend To None”

What’s your take on this?

Prasad Gutti said...

Hi Pramoda,

I am also inline with you. I would like to be happy always even if I face with a problem. Because happiness gives energy which I beleive. Sadness gives depression. What do you say?

Ya, I found no answer for my question, if I remember I have asked somany questions in somany posts. haahha, do find out.

@“A Friend To All Is A Friend To None

Well, I am also in line with this quote.
Infact Nobody will be having everybody as a friend in the World. IF he is having, he wont become a good friend. Because A quote is there, A Friends Enemy is also a Friend and An Enemy's Friend is always an Enemy.

So in my opinion this is correct.

In the same way, I hope “A Friend To All Is A Friend To None”, because if he is behaving in the same way with all of them, nobody will beleive in him and if he behaves as per the person he is moving with, the same thing happens means nobody will beleive in him.

That's what I would like to share.

Now I am having a question to you. What is you openion upon this?, Please do write a post on it. ok...
You will do.. with confidence !!!

keep smiling always. :)

Prasad Gutti said...

Sorry, something went wrong in my comment.

The quote I would like to say is ...

A Friends Enemy is also an Enemy and An Enemy's Friend is always an Enemy

This is the quote I would like to write in the previous comment.

Hi Pramoda!
I loved your answers and especially loved the meaning of your name, how perfect to bless on your child!

In answer to your quote, It would be impossible to be a friend to all. But not impossible to be a friend to many!

a nice one it was..

Prasad Gutti said...

Hi Pramoda,

I was supposed to write one line, but forgotten. I said that I was inline with it, not exactly. But Partially I agree with it. We cant say directly that “A Friend To All Is A Friend To None”.

Because Every person is having some friends, atleast one. And nobody lives alone and cant live alone.

So I can say that ...
A Friend To All Is A Friend To None
But A Friend to none can become a Friend to some

Also I was expecting one question from you and I am awaiting for it!!! :)

And will answer in the next reply .. bye

Hello Pramoda,

I am an avid follower of yours and you are in my blog lists and also I have admired your site in one of my posts. I never waste time being in my site without being able to visit your site.

I like your style of writing and about your answer re: two people from two different countries and with two different careers, deciding to get married and who would sacrifice their career?

I think if you really love each other, you would decide on the matter that would be both good to you, sans pride and whatever that may hinder your being together.

Have a nice day Pram!!!

Lucky will be the one whom you marry. This is based on your attitude seen in Me and We. I agree it is generally girl who sacrifices the career but it should be mutual consideration based on many factors and decision as to who should quit taken. A friend to all is a friend to none. I feel one could be friendly to all but friend to few.

Take care

Oh I guess everybody tries to be friends possibly to a greater number of people. Having friends is a boon, a plus, and a bonus to a great life. But those friendships which truly matter in a very personal way -- are those with persons who share our life in a very unique, distinct manner and character. And this often outlasts all the others. This is how you see genuine friendships -- when all have left, these wonderful people stay by your side and continue to color your world with joy, love, and meaning.

I'd rather focus on this than on the superficial nuances of friendships. If "a friend to all is a friend to none", it may be for some reason or another and known only to that person or persons. Let it be. They have their place too.

Great going with the writing, Pram.
Blessings to you and your loved ones.

Pramoda is a sweet name with the bonus of a good meaning.
Your answers to qns 3 and 4 are very defensive or evasive.I would hv expectted you to come out with a forthright answer.
A friend to all reminds me of a holdall accepting all things without any shape .Such person cannot hv the attributes of a good 'friend'.Just a pleasant guy.

enjoyed reading the answers to the questions.. you are an intellectual person.. :)

and a friend is definitely not a friend to none..

in the attempt to please everyone, not only the person loses his originality..but sometimes his/her friendships with someone to make more friends.. ultimately he/she has no one...not even himself/herself

Hi Pramoda, came over for the first time and liked your page. I believe a friend to all is a friend to all..maybe a little less somewhere, and a wee vit more elsewhere, but a friend still.

Dear ALL,

Thanks for ur responses, i'm soo glad that u have shared ur insights with me..on the red lettered quote.

Now i think its my turn..

I would say "A Friend to all is a frnd to none". Yes, i agree with it. I heard this quote exactly two years back, then i Could not have agreed on it. But now, i would say i'm in aggrement with it..

Provided, A friend in the sense is some thing more than who roam with u, who chat with u , who stay with u all the time. I feel the word FRIEND in this quote is some thing more than all these doings.

Thank You for ur opinions and AM glad to have u all here..:)

Have a grt day..:)

Prasad Gutti said...

Yeah ...

@"If someone is not a frnd to any one, even then someone wants to be his/her frnd"

You are right, the explanation given by you is perfect. I was saying the same thing.

@Yeah, at times, frnd may not be there from both sides, but yes, if u really admire some person, be his frnd irrespective of whether he is urs or not.

Infact, I was thinking this too, but forgotten to write there. hehehe

a friend to all is a friend to none.
perhaps.. perhaps pramoda.. but depends on the friend to all part. i mean, i'm a friend to many many... and as a leo, i pride myself in those friendships and i maintain it with fierceness. i donno if that makes me a friend to no one. if thats the case, does that mean i have no friends? or that my friendship is not worth to anyone? i donno.. lot of questions... scary and sad to think about it....

Prasad Gutti said...

Hi Leo...

Infact these questions may rise in minds of somany people.

It doesnt mean that you are not having any friends and not mean that you are nothing to all.

But after reading all the comments above from all, you can find all the answers for the questions you have...

Anonymous said...

Good to see the responses on
"A Friend To All Is A Friend To None".

Being Pramoda... said...

HI Leo,

there are many ways to understand a quote. I agree that u have come from a one right side of this quote.

I will tell u my take:

Assume there are two groups. They have enimity among themselves. There is a person who stays with two groups. WHo comes in a while and speak sweet and go to the other group and say about their enimies. Actually, if two different groups are there, in person u he should have had some openion on them, But of he dont say it to them and still stay with both of them and call it as a friendship, its a blunder.

As he can not be sincere to any one of them. ANd there are some more perceptions. May be look from that and i'm sure u will get it.

Thank You.

Thanks Prasad..:)

IS it Zanskarite???

Being Pramoda... said...

HI Zanskarite,

Thank You very much for ur pleasant words..:)

I think the statement is partially true as it depends on the intensity with which friend is used

Being Pramoda... said...

Thank You..Yes, the intensity is left foe one's preception. It should be known for any decision.
