Bring home work, not office!

Having been part of corporate culture for five years now, I think I can guess it right. Often, work follows most of us home. If having no laptop is a curse at work, having laptop may cost your time with dear ones, family. Off the record, not having a laptop can be a blessing in disguise at times. At the same time, you have to be prepared to lose a certain edge over others that otherwise you can effortlessly have when it comes to work. Although it does not matter much if you bring home work from office, what that probably matters is when you bring your office itself to home. I mean, the pressures, the words of colleagues or rather that of boss most of the times, the deadline alarms etc. Working for an hour or two in excess does not cost you much. At times, that again gives you the extra edge you deserve. But thinking about office for an extra hour is sufficient enough to ruin a date with your spouse. Or may be to thrash the moods of your kids or other family members.

Easier said than done and that's exactly why it makes sense to put an extra ounce of effort in making it as a habit to leave back office where it is supposed to be after the day at work. Such a skill cannot be owned in a day or two. It takes years in some cases to be able to overcome the unnecessary stress taking mentality. Fortunately, stress taking is one's own trait and not a rule, like you have to swipe your card every day. Traits can be managed and not rules. And certain rules can never be changed, they can only be broken.

One who comments your work cannot complement your spouse for a good job he or she has done at home or towards improving your personal relationship. Your manager has absolutely no idea what your kids expect from you in bedtime stories. You need to acknowledge your spouse and you need to be there for your kids at bedtime. Not being able to do or be so can make you regret at some or the other moment in life. Hence it'd be great to be in the role that you are supposed to be as the day progresses. As an employee in the office, as a daughter/son at time, as a father/mother to your kids. Mixing up too  many roles or misplaying the roles is a bad idea, very bad one indeed.

Issues will  settle down. If not today, tomorrow. As long as you believe in your capability, you stay relaxed. Or if unfortunately you are not a believer of your own power or if you need guidance in solving certain problems, better be open and honest in surfacing out the problems before people. Most of the times, they appreciate it by trying to reach you out to provide suggestions. This in no way brings you down, as a matter of fact, every one has to go through that phase some or the other day. No one is perfect and cannot be too! This can drastically bring down the stress levels you have to face otherwise. Sharing lighter moments with team-mates or cubicle mates can also prove to be a great stress busters. In my case, this is one of the powerful arrows I release against stress. Be open to listen to the suggestions given by others.

At the time of decision making, be yourself and be responsible for your decisions be it results in any. Good or bad. Successful or unsuccessful. profitable or loss. Owning up the responsibility makes a better sense than pointing out finger to the one who suggested you to do so. After all, it was your decision and you could have decided something else as well and you did not. At the time of failure it hurts obviously. But that experience gives you extra edge again when you face a different problem next time. And that time, you may be out of too much stress as you have the past experience.

All the above are only few of the ways to reduce stress, unnecessary one. You know yourself better and you can chart out the stress release ways better for yourself. Which suit your mentality and attitude. Better go by that and not by what others have to say and for that matter the above said as well.

Bring home work, and not office. Have a happy life with a happy life style.

Unexpected results & miracles!

It's not that the game is unpredictable always. Rather, it is since the thoughts of players, the way they handle the situations and their reactions at important times are so unpredictable that we often get to see unexpected results. And they are widely called as miracles as well.

While reading through the Bolt's story the above lines popped up in my mind. I usually wait till the end of the read and then summarize my thoughts. But this one could not be stopped as it is so generic. At the same time I do believe that Bolt is not a miracle. He is a human being turned a brand with all his efforts put into his favourite ever, track and field. Not a miracle. And hence no correlation to him absolutely w.r.t. the above.

Marriage, a beautiful bond indeed!

Marriage,
A beautiful bond to live for;
A commitment for life time.

Living life king size is the best wish a person can make. While we forget that we are in reality and keep ourselves busy in charting out our wishes, a few, in fact a lot things happen for and against us. When it comes to an individual's life, it's somehow predictable as we are more or less aware of what's going on. Whereas when it's about two souls living together, helping each other's dreams, respecting each other's views irrespective of liking or hating, it's deeply unpredictable what would be the next. How each word that you say can turn into. How easily you can mess it up. It's even more challenging to manage through the odds, which are not so uncommon.

That's what makes sense to live through the days and find out happiness not just for you two, but for two families.

Marriage, a beautiful bond indeed.

Here sending my wishes to my sweet sister and a fellow blogger Yamini and her husband. A happy marriage anniversary. May you guys make it to the perfect!

Caught on wrong foot... Take Home #263

After getting caught on wrong foot, it's difficult to step ahead, again. Nonetheless, energy along with the competitive spirit to use it in right direction can help you focus for a better future.

Be hopeful and open to be guided by those whom you believe in.

Opportunity... Take Home #262

Being open for different opportunities, waiting for the deserving one and grabbing the one just in right time are the open secrets for success. Opportunities do not come everyday. When they come, welcome them with smile and give your best.

Catch holding...

Often, it feels as if simple things bother you and you stay stubborn while facing some of the toughest problems. In reality, you can get bothered of bigger problems or you can stay unmoved of simple things. It's all within you and your thoughts. Catch holding of one's own fears and thoughts which are majorly due to past experiences is one of the important things to practice.

Neither every problem ends up unsuccessfully nor that the so called small things cannot bother you. In life, give attention to every single thing the way it deserves. Capability to estimate the deservingness improves with experience, not necessarily with the number of years lived!

After a long time, posting from home!

It's been more than couple of years since I posed from home! Of course, it feels great to be able to do so this time. My visits to home are comparatively less! Not more than twice a year. Every time I'm home I prefer to spend time with family and friends and definitely not with Internet. But this time, as it's a long holiday and due to the changed priorities at work and personal life, I'm using my Photon connection for the first time in holidays. Well, the new laptop ensures at least ten hours battery back up and for me it really does not matter if the power cut is on!

I thought I will have time to catch up with some of my fellow bloggers' spaces as I'm on holidays. And I'm on holidays and that's exactly why I'm very busy with laziness. It's been almost a week at home and my first post comes today. That's evident enough of my activity at home! Another dimension to my laziness.

Having mom around makes you feel so carefree that you do not bother much about here and there happenings in the kitchen, especially in the mornings. I'm not a late-waker but I do not touch a single work myself unless mom says. Whereas in Pune, I jump into kitchen from bed. Well, I do not think it's any different from a typical style.

Mom and Dad take good care of the garden at home. It's all greenery around. Since it's been raining this season in Andhra, the plants appear as if they are taking care of themselves. Not too many flowers although, plants are green enough to be beautiful.

That's all for now. So many topics to catch upon. I'll pen down soon. Take care. Good day.

Having you around...

Having you around,
Life feels so good.

Life feels so good,
That I miss you otherwise.

Words do carry value, not language.

Words do carry value, not language.

Communication is all about conveying your thoughts to the other person through an easily understandable means. It need not necessarily be the fashion and style of your language. That comes last in the list. All it keeps your face value in a better position in other person's mind is rather your way of expression and not your way of pronunciation or accent. The later two can be noticed for the first time, or for few times, but what matters is the matter in what you say. The meaning and the usefulness of the same to the other person is so important that nothing can beat this in communication race.

Along with making kids speak one specific language in schools, they shall also be taught of expressions, emotions and adding meaningfulness to what they speak. Not just the grammar, their thoughts behind what they speak shall also be noticed, highlighted before crowd in case of good and corrected one to one in case of certain negative shade exist in what they say.

Education does not mean language. It shall mean the value that the words of an educated person carry.

Loneliness... Take Home #261

When you are among people, you get used to people. When you are alone, you get used to yourself. Though it does matter to be amidst the people, loneliness teaches you the most simple lessons in the hardest ways. All in all, both ways you gain!

Straight trees... Take Home #259

Straight trees are the ones to get cut first. Incidentally or eventually, they have been the most useful ones for the human civilizations since years.

That's why they say, "All depends on how you see it".

Tough times... Take Home #258

Tough times show you who has time for you!

Existence of anyone!

Existence of anyone is evident with the work he or she does. The moment one starts trying to prove his or her existence, it means either the work being done is not evident enough or it's a deep wish to bring the work into limelight more than deserving.

The possibility of helplessness cannot be ruled out when someone decides to prove his or her existence. But there are royal ways to bring one's own work into limelight. And the first and foremost prerequisite is to be strong enough to be able to face the unfair for a certain duration. Hard work pays. Talent helps. Experience flourishes. Positive mindedness makes you breath easy. Consistency helps you getting rated the best just when required.

Believing that the bad time will be over is important. But understanding the current situation and estimating the time-to-come is as well important to decide to take the path which leads to success. After all, building one's own life is his or her responsibility. Blaming someone else does not help at all, not just because people are different in nature but also because people have different priorities naturally. One cannot expect to get treated well always. One has to find ways, royal and inspiring ways of course, to succeed, to come out of the odds, to make his or her existence evident enough.

Different colours exist. Each colour gets the importance it deserves. The only difference here is the colour itself cannot try to become important. It depends on the people who like it. But being humans, we have chance to try our best to succeed. Not everything depends on other people. It's you who can change the way things move.  History speaks the same. Take the names from history you want and be inspired.

Satisfaction... Take Home #256

All that can keep and make you happy is the satisfaction that you gain during your tenure. Pick it as much as you can and try your best to leave no room for regrets.

Post No: 900 - Blog, one of the closest things to my heart!!!

Firstly, my sincere condolences to all the victims of the attacks of September 11' 2001. Along with the ones from the incidents happened in America, victims include the ones from Afghanistan from the post 11/7 incidents.
-----
Milestones keep people motivated just like the way records keep sportsmen inspired. When you are on the verge of achieving something, it's unbelievable if one says that he or she is not thinking about it! The only other greater possibility if someone says so is that they may be lying. Well, that's up to one's conscience how he or she wants to project himself or herself to the crowd.

Leaving it there, let me move forward with this post, the 900th one that I do in this blog and about which I've been definitely thinking since past few days. I feel every pleasure in admitting to the same.

It really feels so long that I did the last post with two zeros in it's number. Considering my writing pattern, it is long as well.  It's even more eventful this year, so far, compared to what I did say in the last post of 2012. A lot of things have been keeping me occupied. Nevertheless, I feel proud of myself for actively updating this space, which is one of the closest things to my heart, although I did not do any marathon posts throughout the year except in the past month. Thanks to IBL for all the fun it gave me while writing the posts during the last month.

Few things I'd like to mention about my blog on this occasion:

Ever since I started writing this blog, I have been finding a new me every time I post something here. Every post enables me to tell something to myself apart from expressing it to the world. Most of the take homes  I mentioned here exactly represent the series of incidents happened either on the same day or just few days before. During some of the lighter moments, when some of my friends asked me back about certain points I write here, I just walk past somehow by saying something round and round! Good friends, they don't pull me back to the topic! After reading this, if anyone of you would like do it in future, I'm sure I'm going to find a way out! Kidding, easy.

The love I express here lets me fall in love again and again. The movie or book reviews that I write here make me feel proud of my observation power and sensitive nature, at certain instances, for being able to capture the finest of the fine moments and emotions. And what can I say about my posts on sports! Sport brings out the best emotions of mine. They have always made me a confident writer. I love writing about sports and players.

Well, that's all for now in this 900th post. I hope to write the 1000th one very soon and definitely before the end of this year. Wish me all the best!!!

I've a special mention to be made here. It's about my all time favorite tennis player, the newly crowned United States Open Champion, Rafael Nadal. Hats off to him not just for the way he has played this season but also for passing through all the odds and coming out stronger than ever. A lot to learn and hence to execute as well. Will power is the best power human possesses. That makes the history and repeats it too. I'll write in detail about this in the posts to come later.

I'm signing off for now. Thanks to you for being here and reading this. Readers inspire the writers the most.

The song, of my heart...

As I feel the warmth in your words,
My heart starts singing from within.

I often fell in love with the song of my heart,
Only to realize the whopping love from within.

And why not I say, although it's famous,
Love makes life beautiful.

What else matters! ... Take Home #255

It feels great when you accomplish something without taking any big one's name to your use! Later, it feels even better as you start realizing your own capabilities.

What else matters!

Stretch your psychological dimensions and feel the greatness.

Argue, with right intentions!

Arguments may bore you, even bother you. But when certain decisions are being taken and you rightly believe that you can provide useful or impacting inputs, you must go ahead to every possible extent of arguments and put forward your views.

After all, decisions may impact many people; you can be one of them too. Never ever be quiet thinking that you may be understood wrong or aggressive. Being understood as wrong does not necessarily mean that you are wrong; and being aggressive is nothing wrong at all, as long as your intention to be aggressive is towards getting the decisions right.

To be sarcastic... Take Home #254

It does not even take a minute to be sarcastic about something to someone. But to take it back and set things alright again, especially when you are wrong in your part, it may take longer than ever at times. Better to avoid being sarcastic altogether; you never know when your understanding can go wrong amidst the increasing complexities of life styles and thought processes of people. Moreover, there is nothing to lose if you do not be sarcastic.

Life does not remain the same always!

Life does not remain the same always.
Be it difficulties or easy-takes,
Accept that, every door has to be walked through;
Believe that, clouds of every color have to fly away.

Life does not remain the same always.
Be brave and hopeful.

Reach out to the people... Take Home #253

Reach out to the people through smile, through words from heart. Relationships make life meaningful. Spending time to maintain the same is as important as to spend time on any daily routine.
