The Raigad fort - PramsPhotography #127

#2017 @Raigad Fort, Maharashtra, India

After roaming around a lot across Maharashtra and especially after visiting a few forts of the 'Chatrapati' Shivaji Maharaj, I've developed a great liking towards the realm of Shivaji. Raigad fort is a significant fort of the Shivaji times. Coronation happened here and his statue stands tall in the middle of the fort.

Another attraction at the fort is the rope way, which takes the visitors up and down the hill. I learnt that trekkers do one way trekking and choose the rope way for the rest of the part. We chose to take the rope way both the directions. Its one of the steepest rope ways I've seen so far. Some of  the pictures above may reveal the angle the container travels. Amazing views around and I enjoyed every second of the journey with the lens.

Judge none ... Take Home #662

Image result for judging people

Before judging anyone, consider the possibility that you cannot understand everyone. Then it will be easier to practice not judging anyone.

Looking back at life... Take Home #661

Image result for looking back at life

Looking back at life once in a while is a lot necessary not just to rejuvenate our own thought process but also to calibrate our take on various aspects of life.

Things are not always what they seem!

Being able to put things in perspective is an art not everyone can conquer over. Often, things are mistaken, not because of the way the things are but of the way they are seen or they seem.

Interesting perspectives come to us when we are open to let people express their views. For that, we must be as open as possible to different realities that people perceive. What's true for one is not for another and what's wrong for one might not be the same for the rest of the people. While this situation seems so common in regular life, working upon the way we develop 'perspectives' can make things work for us in such a way that we tend to perceive and accept various perspectives, of our friends, family and colleagues. Well, perceiving and accepting the perceptions of a stranger is a bit tricky. Its easier at times and on certain occasions it seems almost impossible.

It takes lot of experience and open-mindedness not to see the things the way they seen but to see them the way they are supposed to be seen. While this subject is a lot subjective in nature, it's possible to work on one aspect at a time, one situation at a time and master the art of being open to various perspectives.

The first time I saw the quote mentioned in the picture above, I could not get it. I had to read again to get hold of it's meaning. Whoever has created it, it must have taken lot of experience. Or may be not. It would have taken a moment of realization, just one of those moments we all get to experience at certain times in our lives. After all, things are not always what they seem.

Enchanted gardens - PramsPhotography #126

#2016, Enchanted Gardens, Pune, India

Enchanted gardens is one of the  biggest nursery I've ever been to. Its located next to the Mumbai-Pune express way, in the outs cuts of Pune. The pictures above are clicked at the gardens during one of our visits to that place. It takes lot of effort and interest to bring up a garden like that. It feels really difficult for someone like me, for whom maintaining the terrace-garden is itself a very huge task!

Click of the home garden - PramsPhotography #125

#2017, Home Garden, Inkollu, Andhra Pradesh, India

We may go out and click pictures of the nature all over, the time we spend clicking the photographs of our home garden is probably the best time of all. The picture with butterfly is especially the one I'd like to talk about. I literally clicked at least fifty pictures before getting the one posted here. No doubt, photography is the matter of time, wait and patience!

Tikona fort trek - PramsPhotography #124

#2017, Tikona Fort, Maharashtra, India

While the scenery is clicked near the Tikona Fort, before, during and after the trek, the pictures with flowers are clicked in a nursery on the way to the Tikona fort. The Tikona fort trek is one of the best trekking experiences I've had. It's the toughest trek I've been to. Incessant rain made it further tougher for us to keep going. Cool breeze came to our rescue and of course the co-trekkers.

Beautiful wall hanging - PramsPhotography #123

#2017, Wall hanging clicked at home, Pune, India

I purchased this wall hanging in Berlin, when I visited in 2016. Its made with simple cloth threads of multiple colours. Its very easy to be hanged as there is a simple hook using which it can be handed to a nail, as can be seen in the pictures. I remember clicking it from multiple angles and the awe I felt is simply superb. Great time spent clicking these pictures.

Ellora caves and the Kailashnath Temple - PramsPhotography #122

#2017 Ellora caves, Maharashtra, India

I read about the Ellora caves in history books in school. History book used to have a picture of one of the sculptures, famously known as 'Ellora Silpam', in Telugu, my mother-tongue. Every time I saw the picture in the text book, I used to wonder how and why the sculptures became so famous, blame the fully blurred image printed in the text book and that too in black and white. When I visited the Ellora caves and as I started clicking the sculptures and the caves, I could not put camera down.  That's when I actually realized the beauty and essence of the caves and sculptures. Every sculpture looks beautiful and has an imbibed meaning in it. The main attraction is the Kailashnath Temple, the monolithic one. It's hard to imagine how from a single mountain stone the complete temple had been made!

Ajantha caves, in rainy season - PramsPhotography #121

#2017 Ajantha Caves, Maharashtra, India

Visiting Ajantha caves is always educating and visiting them during rainy season is a real fun. While the caves and the paintings leave one awestruck, the nature around the caves and the greenery is a feast to watch. In the days when there was no electricity, the way the artists mixed the paints and painted the walls and roofs of the caves is mind-blowing. They would have possessed extremely talent and more than that, passion. Passion towards the art would have kept them going for hundreds of years together to put forth the beautiful caves and brilliant art.

The Kaas Plateau, Valley of flowers - PramsPhotography#120

#2017 @Kaas Plateau, Maharashtra, India

It has been a long pending wish to visit the well-talked-about valley of flowers, knows as the Kaas Plateau, in the western ghats near Satara, Maharashtra, India. We had been there after few days of incessant rain and as anticipated, there was no much flowering. However, I could capture the few scenes in my lens. The best part of the visit to the Kaas Plateau is the realization that there are not as many varieties of flowers there as it's written about! But the flowers that are there are really beautiful. For this time I had to extrapolate the scenery to wider area, since the rain impacted the flowering at most of the places. Next time, I wish to go when there is good amount of flowering so that the valley of flowers can be enjoyed even more and clicked further beautifully!
